I want to apply for citizenship. I read about "Partial Exception to Five-Year Rule for People Granted Asylum (Asylees)" Note: When your green card is granted, you (and your derivative family members) will have your date of adjustment of status rolled back 1 year from the date your green card is granted. (known as “rollback.”) http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-through-refugee-or-asylee-status/green-card-asylee

Yes, the citizenship rules for asylees are a bit different. Once the asylum status is granted, the date of admission considered to be one year before the date of approval of the adjustment of status application. This means the wait to apply for citizenship is reduced to four years while it is five years for other permanent residents. There may be additional residence and other factors going into whether or not you are eligible for citizenship, so you should always get competent legal counsel before filing any immigration-related paperwork.
