USCIs Philadelphia Field Office
Anonymous3 views3 answers
USCIS office in Phila is notorious for sitting on cases. Does anyone have an answer WHY? Are they backed up? Under staffed? They have recently moved to a different address, can this factor prolong the processing time and cause delays?
What makes you think that they are more notorious than any other overworked field office?
Everyone is understaffed.
Sure, when physical files are moved there is some delay, but not necessarily more than other.
If you're talking about a specific case, make an InfoPass appointment.

The answer for why a specific case is sitting at any field office will depend on the individual circumstances of the case as well as at the field office. The immigration attorney handling the case may be able to get you a better answer as to this specific situation.
The USCIS office in Philadelphia moved to a new office location in September this year and is currently processing cases as per routine processing times. If there is an unusual delay in your case, you can contact the local office to inquire further.
