Is stealing a UPS package ($200) a crime? Misdemeanor or felony?

UPS driver stole 2 packages valued at $100 each. Scanned them as delivered but never delivered them. If I make a police report what charges would he face? Neighbor 's computer was stolen and undelivered, same day same driver.

Theft of up to $950 is a misdemeanor petty theft. Over that and it's a felony.

The amount makes it a misdemeanor, however, the laptop could be considered a felony if it is over the 950.00 total, or the amount in aggregate is over 950. Make a police report.

It is likely to be a misdemeanor if the two items combined are less than $950. However, the bigger problem is that this crime may be filed in Federal Jurisdiction which imposed a heavier punishment. Theft of UPS packages are under the category of mail fraud.
