Can I be charged or arrested for saying racial slurs and telling someone to "go kill yourself" in an email?

The woman had bought something from me over eBay and is trying to scam out of the payment. I wrote an email out of frustration stating some racial slurs and saying "go kill yourself". There is only one email containing those words. Can I be charged with harassment or any other charges?

Technically, you can be charged with a hate crime for the racial slurs. More likely than not, nothing will happen.

Only the government can prosecute crimes. This woman can call the police and make a complaint, and if they want, they can investigate, and if their investigation turns up something actionable in their opinion, they'll give it over to the DA and the DA will decide to prosecute you or not. If your threat is deemed by the authorities as a threat of harm to this person, the fact that you used racial slurs can elevate it to a hate crime. She could file a civil lawsuit against you, but for that, she'd need to prove some kind of damages such as monetary damages. Never have contact with her again.
