In 2008 I was charged with DUI w/ serious bodily injury. Will this still effect my right to vote?

I served my three years probation, community service and paid all of my monetary dues without a hiccup, and haven't had any run-ins with the law since.
DUI with serious bodily injury is a third degree felony in Florida. As such, if you were convicted of this charge then you are a convicted felon and, unfortunately, you lose the right to vote, serve on a jury or even own a firearm.
Yes, it affects your right to vote, meaning as a convicted felon, you cannot vote. If you do, then you are committing another crime. You can apply to have your civil rights restored, but you'll likely need an attorney to do it for you.
As stated, DUI/serious bodily injury is a 3rd degree felony, and since a conviction under FL DUI law carries an adjudication of guilt - simple answer is yes. However, take a look at the link provided to get a better grasp of what may be on the horizon.
Best success!

As a convicted felon your right to vote has been removed. You need to see an attorney about getting the right to vote restored. You cannot even apply to get gun rights restored until 8 years after the completion of the sentence.
