What does it mean when USCIS sends you a Call-In Letter?

My US citizen wife and I had an adjustment of status interview in October. We were told that our case will be held for further review. We received a Call-In Letter asking us to come in for a "review" later this month. We were told to bring "all passports and government/state issued ids in our possession". What can we expect?

They will interview you to determine if they can approve your case.

They will interview you to make sure you are in a bonafide marriage. I highly recommend you to take an attorney with you to represent you at the interview. There are plenty of good attorneys on this forum and my office also offers interview representation as well. Good luck to you

If you are getting a notice for a second interview in a marriage-based case, USCIS likely suspects fraud and may separate you and your wife for questioning to confirm the bonafides of your marriage. This can happen for many reasons - nerves, large age gaps between spouses, etc. You should contact an immigration attorney to help you prepare for the interview and see if there are other documents you can provide to prove your marriage is legitimate.

It means the first interviewing officer was not convinced about legitimacy of your marriage. Expect to be separated from your spouse for further questioning during the second interview. It is not a good idea for you and your spouse to attend this second interview without an attorney.
