If your prob officer have you permission to travel that should be sufficient. The only thing to worry about is if there is a pending warrant. The law says after two years you will go on non-reporting if everything has been completed. If you are seeking to terminate your prob early, speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney to assist you. Hope that helps.
If, by "safe," you mean not violating a term of your probation, then yes, you should be safe. As long as you have a travel permit, and you travel to and from the location on the dates you told your probation officer, and you do not get into any new trouble during the trip, you should not be arrested on your way back at the airport. Reporting probation lasts for two years. After that, you are placed on administrative, or non-reporting probation, but you remain on probation until your probation is terminated. One may file a motion for termination of probation at any time, but generally you will have a better chance of success the longer you have successfully served on probation.
As long as you don't have any active warrants for your arrest you should not have a problem at the airport. Probation is not deemed to be over after 2 years. You either need to finish your time, or have the judge order that your probation terminate or become non-reporting (unless the judge has already ordered this to happen at the 2 year mark). Absent this order, probation does not stop until your term on probation has ended.
