Are there any employer indemnification laws in Pennsylvania?

If tools (that I own but are used for my employment) are stolen outside of business hours from my employers business premises is there any law saying the employer is responsible? I know other states have indemnification laws but have not been able to find any information for PA. This is a great financial burden for me and preventing me from doing my job now. Is there anything that can be done?

Check with the employer to see if the theft would be covered under their insurance policy. Also if you own a home check your homeowner's policy to see if there's coverage.

Check with your employer to see if your employer has insurance coverage for employee tools. Have you ever provided your employer with a list of the tools left on the employer's premises? Do you have any details of the theft, such as: was there a burglary, breaking and entering, etc.? Were your tools locked up? If your employer is not planning to reimburse you (themselves or through their insurance carrier), you may want to contact a local attorney to see if there is something that can be done.
