What can I do for justice?

Employment 3 views 1 answers
I went for open interviews at a dealership..I got the job I was told i had to pay 250 for "training"..I did. This was over a month ago. I was told i could not accept any other job offers any where else so I have been unemployed without pay. I have called and called and haven't gotten any information on a start date. I need to know if I can sue for the time I've been unemployed and for the money I paid for a 3 day training that consisted of walking around to other car dealers to see how they treat customers.

You might possibly have a Wage Act claim against the dealership for unpaid wages. Such claims are enforced by the Delaware Department of Labor's Wage & Hour Division through civil suits filed by the State of Delaware.. I suggest you give them a call and run your scenario by them to see if they are willing to consider your claim.
