Is my charge not being pursued by the district attorney?

Criminal Defense 6 views 3 answers
Over 5 months ago, I was arrested for Attempting to Obtain Dangerous Drugs. The following day, I made my initial appearance in court and posted bond. No plea was made. Arraignment was to be set. To this day, I have not been served to appear in court. Why is it taking so long? Does this violate my right to a speedy trial?

It does seem like a long time. Contact a local attorney to find out if this is normal

You have 60 days from arraignment. This does seem irregular. Get your attorney to file a motion to dismiss to test the waters here.
