Did i commit insurance fraud?

i went into a land installment purchase agreement in july to buy my home.in sept water pipes burst,i filed a claim under my homeowners which was a requirement in contract,claim was paid,contractor did work,finished in feb.person im buying house from telling people im a tenant,im a renter.insurance company says im being investigated for ins fraud as had no right to have homeowners regardless if was in contract,im not renting,but they insist im rent with option.its vendor purchaser.please help
