Parenting time Denied by courts.
Anonymous4 views3 answers
I cant fit the whole story on here but I'll sum up. No money, $8000 in debt from divorce. EX accused me of abusing our children and her, three years later still fighting to get parenting time with children. So a custody neutral assessment was ordered. She lied through her teeth and coached my children and the assessor said that because I deny abusing my children i have an "altered state of reality or a strong denial system". I'm so tired of fighting the lies and having the courts believe a liar. I don't know what else to do. I've done everything right, I've followed the rules, it's supposed to all work out. how do you fight a liar? I know I should seek a council but I can't put my current family in more debt.
please I need advice.
What abuse are you alleged to have done? Without counsel your going to have to research the custody elements under the statutes and conduct a hearing on your own where you probably don't know how which does not bode well for your case. You need to hire competent counsel. You also don't advise many basic facts! ages, income levels, locations. There is an FRO against you that does not help your cause. Your in a tough spot but it's not all bad. Your efforts to see your children are important because it proves to them you care. They are kids so don't judge them too harshly, kids are easily manipulated and unfortunately alienation does happen, it is in my opinion a real thing, and too often. Not all judges are willing to do their jobs and judge and get involved instead being more concerned about moving cases then deciding them. That makes for order, but not justice or equity. Now not always, but you seem pretty strong in your claims of her lying. The coaching might or might not be true but the evaluator is supposed to be trained to recognize things like that so you may have to be candid with yourself also. Lawyers are going to require money to represent you but really, you need one.
Unfortunately, your matter seems to require the service of a lawyer. Given the claims of abuse and an FRO and your interest in protecting your family, you should locate a lawyer. Some offer free consultations.
