F1 Status Violation

I joined an university in California in Fall 2013. Fall 2013 : Dropped one class and I was out of status. Situation is I didn't drop the class but stopped attending. So instructor dropped me. I wasn't notified of that I was out of status. Spring 2013 : I kept visiting new places and two out of three classes were dropped by instructor. I contacted international student office regarding Travel signature. They told me that I have violated my status and I should either apply for reinstatement or leave the country. I left the country within 3 days (Left on May 2014) Now the school denied me to get new I20. Questions: 1) Can I apply in For next year? I will be out of status for more than 5 months so I will have to get a new F1 visa. What issues will I have to face if I am to apply for F1?

Your F1 approval will be based on acceptance at a school. It was the UC that decided not to approve you, not USCIS. The good news is you left as soon as your status was terminated. Now you just have to find a school. You may have to explain what happened this year - but getting distracted and visiting places is not serious - if you had worked without authorization that would have been bad. If you want to travel and see places, a tourist visa can be much cheaper than international student fees.

You have to get a new I-120 and apply for a new F-1 visa. Good luck.
