Me and my friend were riding our motorcycles and we hit the speed limit sign that allowed us to speed up and as we did a highway patrol man was sitting on the side of the road filling out his paper work and started to follow us but didn't pull us over until we reached our destination. he said he heard us going by and thought we were going to fast as i told him we were not we just sped up to meet the speed limit requirement and it might have sounded like we were going to fast but my bike isn't loud so i don't know how he could have heard us. He never clocked us speed he just said we were driving to carelessly? He gave me us a careless driving ticket and a fine of $250.00. Should I fight it and how do I go about doing that? Do i need to get a lawyer?

If you weren't doing anything wrong you should fight it. The $250 may not be a huge deal (especially when considering the cost of a lawyer) but a careless driving ticket on your record could lead to problems down the road. For example, if a job required a "clean" driving record.
