How do I go about reporting my PO? Her boss is just as horrible.

I have a PO from hell. I am sure most people say this. I feel she has set me up to fail and I feel she is picking on me. PO has caused me extreme stress and makes it a point to berate me. The PO has called me a poor excuse for a woman, has also had many warrants issued. I could understand if I was a drug addict or a repeat offender but this was my first DUI. I dread going to see the PO.

Why is a lawyer from Virginia answering this? Does he have a law license in Texas? he judge. That's what the Texas Bar calls the Unauthorized Practice of Law. Its a serious ethics violation. The answer is: You hire a local criminal defense attorney to speak to the judge. Our office does these.

I have recategorized your question under criminal defense, I think you will get more feedback than if it is categorized under libel. You might consider recording your interactions with the PO, e.g. by using your cell phone. Then you would evidence that she is awful and it is not just your opinion.

Here's what I tell my clients: Your probation officer may start off being a real jerk. A lot of times they do this as a way of establishing control. The best way to deal with this is to be ultra polite, respectful, cooperative, and try to find some common ground if the opportunity arises. But don't expect them to be polite. They might seem to hate you. Take the approach that you have to earn the status as one of the probationers that they like because you never give them any trouble. No problems. No extra work. Be their easiest file. That's the way you deal with a difficult probation officer. Let them know that YOU know that they are in control. If you are an abrasive person by nature, if you are argumentative or even if you're someone that just has tons of questions, you may find that this creates a problem with your PO that won't go away. When a dominant dog bites at the neck of another dog, the dog with lower status will often lie down and offer their neck without resistance. That way they don't have to fight. The dominant dog will then typically back off having established dominance. There's no need to tear into the other dog. But if the lower dog tries to fight off the attack that's when you get a big nasty fight. Don't try to fight your probation officer. Submit. That's what the law requires you to do anyway.
