he went to hospital and they told him it was only the skin on the bottom of his foot ..but now a year later he cant bend his toes as if the tendon was cut and he has trouble keeping his balance. .please advise
In most states, you have at least two years to file a lawsuit for an injury. Minors have even longer.
It sounds like you may have a claim against the hotel. There could even be a small medical malpractice case. Most lawyers will probably not believe that the medical malpractice case is big enough to get involved in.
I would definitely contact an attorney licensed in the state where the hotel is located. This definitely sounds like a worthwhile claim.
Very possibly. Has a doctor told you or him that the issue with his toes is definitely related to the cut? This would be essential.
Hopefully you can have the condition treated in some fashion such as with surgery to correct the problem.
Consult with an experienced personal injury lawyer immediately to determine the applicable deadlines. Do not delay!
You really do not provide enough information on which an opinion could be rendered. You should take him to the doctor to find out what the problem is and consult with an experienced PA personal injury attorney ASAP to see if there is a viable claim here.
Your key first step is to get your son proper medical attention. Ask the doctor if, within a reasonable degree of medical certainty, the current problem is caused by the injury of (insert date). If the answer is yes, consult with an attorney.
If the incident was reported to the hotel, you have a chance that the claim will be paid. If it was not reported there is more likely going to be a fight.
First, I'm sorry to hear about your son's injury. If the safety hazard -- the piece of glass that your son cut his foot on -- was caused by some negligent action on the part of the hotel's staff, then yes, you could potentially have a claim against the hotel. The extent of your son's damages will be an important question to consider. Has your son continued to get medical care over the year that has passed since the injury? If not, it might be difficult to show that the problems he currently faces are related to the cut. Also, as others have asked, did you make the hotel staff aware of the incident when it happened? My advice for you is to contact a lawyer who handles personal injury claims in Pennsylvania. You can go over all of the facts related to your son's injury with this lawyer to find out whether or not you have the grounds for a successful personal injury claim and what your rights and options are. You don't say how old your son is, but even if he is a minor and has a longer statute of limitations to file a claim, I would still recommend that you call a lawyer for a free consultation as soon as possible. This way you can be sure that you are not missing any important deadlines and that your son is getting the legal help he needs. A lawyer may also be able to address any questions you have about what sort of medical professional your son needs to see, if he's not currently getting care. Good luck!
I'm sorry for your son's injury. Premises liability cases can be very difficult cases to prove.
If not provided enough information to evaluate your son's claim. For instance you do not provide any information as to how the glass wound up in an area in which your son could be injured. Was it a water glass that are broken? A hotel decoration piece that had shattered? Was a glass from a door or window at the hotel? Where was the glass located? Was it a pool area or gym area? Was it in the dining room? All these questions are relevant to help establish liability.
Generally, a landowner is only responsible for dangerous conditions on its property that it either created or new or should have known of its existence.
Whether or not your son has a claim will be largely driven by the facts of his situation.
Given that your son has suffered a significant injury I would strongly recommend that you contact a personal injury attorney that handles premises liability cases. Attorneys that handle slip and fall and trip and fall cases probably have experience in this area.
Most personal injury attorneys offer free consultations you should avail yourself of this valuable free service.

You should contact a local attorney to review the facts immediately. Most of us offer a no charge consultation and would handle a personal injury matter on a contingent fee basis - meaning you wouldn't have to pay unless or until money is recovered.
You did not include some very important information. When and where (which state) did this accident happen and whether or not your son is a minor. This will have a bearing on any potential liability case against the hotel and/or a medical malpractice case against the hospital. It seems as though most lawyers on this page are assuming your son is a minor (under 18). It would also be helpful if you describe exactly how the injury to the foot occurred and whether or not a report of the accident was made at the hotel.
You should be sure he gets follow up care ---I'm not hearing "a doctor said he has..." Do that as soon as possible. There may possibly be a malpractice case if in fact there was something there--but the question is as his foot and balance got affected, was he being seen by a doctor? What happened between the ER and now? (don't answer these questions here--it's a public site--just talk to a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice about them). If you can't afford follow up care, the Shriners has a program with an orthopedic hospital in Phialdelphia that's excellent and provides free care. But if he's on MA or CHIP he should be able to get at least a referral to an orthopedic doctor (don't mention you are thinking of suing--doctors worry about being "dragged into lawsuits.")
As to your claim against the hotel, if the class was on the floor and the hotel knew about it or it was there long enough they should have, then yes, a claim could be made.
