Can Grandparents take a father to court for custody of their grandson if they raised him for 11 years then his Dad took him?

Me and my husband raised our grandson from the time he was a baby. His father has custody of him. We have supported him on our own for over 11 years without the help of his parents . Then this past November his father took him and he now lives with him.

It certainly sounds as if you have some standing given that the child was in an established custodial environment to seek custody as a third party. Unfortunately, WV does not have laws specifically related to grandparent rights. The law treats you as any other third party. Seek the counsel of an experienced child custody attorney. Good luck.
