I am Pro-se in Probate and Family Trial Court. How do I ask myself questions as a witness?

The defense has me on the witness list. How/when do I "ask myself" questions, or cross examine myself? In the opening statement, may I present exhibits and say my piece then? Thank you.

If your case means anything at all to you financially or emotionally, you should hire a professional to assist you. You will not get another chance to make your case. Since the judge will likely be the fact finder in your trial, you may find that the judge asks you clarifying questions in an effort to understand your testimony. The truth is that testifying in a narrative is very difficult and will absolutely impact your case negatively. Your opening statement should be a summary of what you expect to show, and any exhibits will have to be introduced through your testimony.

As you probably have heard over and over again, its not a good idea to represent yourself. If you are going to do so, go to the local law library or local book store and read up on issues. First, you need to understand how to object to inappropriate questions? Second you need to understand how to introduce, including laying a foundation, for the admission of evidence - your exhibits may not be admissible. Some judges don't like pro pers other have lots of patience for them. Good luck if you do this alone.

I agree with the other attorneys but the answer to the question you actually asked is you go on the stand and testify as a narrative, you basically get up and tell your story.
