I was given a speeding ticket, but the trooper wrote the ticket for my 5th wheel camper and not my vehicle I was driving.

My camper is at home and doesnt have its own engine and hasn't moved in months. I was not haulig it. The trooper made a huge mistake, didnt look at my insurance card i handed him obviously and didnt pay attention to what he was typing for my vehilcle. Can I fight this? I also think he was mistaking on the speed I was travleing. Is the court even going to hold this because he cant really give my camper a speeding ticket. Please help Ive been emailing several attorneys here in Alaska and None of them want to help me with this.

Sure, fight the ticket. Here's the deal--you do have a notice to appear in court, so you must appear. What violation is listed? You might win based on the officer's mistakes, but in the end, I suspect it boils down to first if the officer appears and second does he identify YOU as the driver of a vehicle committing a traffic violation?

I agree with Mr. Finnecy. You should appear. It sounds like you have a few defenses you can raise in fighting your ticket but you definitely want to appear otherwise the judge will just go with what the trooper says.
