Can I drink after probation without papers?

I fulfilled all of my requirements and I asked my probation officer if I could drink the weekend after I get off probation. He said he doesn't care if I drink. Does that mean I am in the clear and don't need to wait for anything in the mail? I worry about simple things.
Once you are completed with your probation, you are no longer bound by your probation restrictions. However, do not think that your PO's statement that he does not care if you drink means that you can drink any sooner. However, if you know paperwork confirming that your probation is complete is coming, it would be safest to just wait if you are worried.
You should wait until you have some form of proof that you have been discharged from probation. If having a drink is this important to you then you might want to consider some treatment for alcohol.
