University registrar code of ethics, code of conduct, regulations and etc.

Hi there. I was wondering if there was any rules and regulations/protocol that university registrar's have to abide by? I know it is a vague question.. I ask because my situation is somewhat complicated and I went to registrar to have financial documents signed because they manage tuition, fees, finances, etc. Pretty much anything to do with money! (besides Bursar office). And I got shunned away (meanwhile two registrar associates have signed my financial documents before. And this one woman wouldn't). So is there any fine print that shows this? Thanks.

I can't think of any financial documents they would be "forced" to sign. Too little info here.

To your question, I am not aware of any "special" laws that apply to university registrars, that as they say is that. But as William points out, too little information to provide any meaningful guidance. It is not clear your issue as Registrars wouldn't normally sign any financial documents of the student aside from the FAFSA and/or the schools financial aid application.

Your post is way too vague to even hazard a response. I suggest you sit down a write out a chronology of what took place, then consult with an attorney. Good luck.
