I had a case against me dismissed using maryland rule 3-506b. I made payment but was 5 days past the stipulated date.

This was due to reliance on a friend who mailed in payment late as I was out of the country. What can I or should I do to make things right.

You should talk to the lawyer for the Plaintiff and explain why your payment was late and probably they will agree to allow you simply to make the remaining payments as scheduled.

Call the creditor. If you were late, then you defaulted and they can enter the 3-506 if it included a consent judgment regardless of fault. However, you could file a motion to vacate if you're within 30 days of judgment being entered and state reasons for such. In any event, consult counsel.

You say the case against you was dismissed. That's usually a good thing. Not clear why you feel anything needs to be done.
