Damaged/Missing Personal Property (Post Divorce) I reside in CHICAGO, the divorce was in ATLANTA

I recently retrieved my property from the marital home per the divorce consent order. The Ex decided to go through ALL of my belongings and chose what HE wanted to give me off my property list from the order and put it all in the garage. My furniture was ALL damaged, by scratches, and chips. Specific jewelry was missing that was in a jewelry box (he claimed he did not have) then the box was in the garage. The Ex purposely kept items listed as MOMS STUFF, ALL COOKWARE, etc... because my 16 yo son said he didn't want to have to pay to replace all of it, so they kept specific items that were to come to me. His witness at the house, specifically stated that the Ex knew I was going to sue him anyway so he kept what he kept. What is my course of action now??

You get your attorney to bring contempt charges against the ex- for not following the Court's order.

If your ex failed to follow the court order, you can file a contempt action against him. Retain an attorney and pursue the matter that way.
