I have 2 different dates of birth - one is the legal DOB and the other is personal. How can I correct this?

I was born in Havana, Cuba to a Cuban mother and a Puerto Rican father. My birth was registered with the American embassy 3 years after my birth. I left Cuba when I was 4. In order to get me out of Cuba, documents were drafted with a different DOB than my real DOB. My entire history in the US has the legal DOB. My mother wants me to have this corrected (I have a copy of my Cuban birth certificate). Is this possible?

How old are you? 65 or 18? Is the year the same, but the day of the month is different? What is your status now? How old were you when you discovered the error? After you think of the questions answered, consult with an Immigration Attorney for further advise and recommendations. Frank Stanczak, Immigration Attorney

Your proper and legal birth date is the date stated in your birth certificate. You can amend your identification document ( ID,etc.) with an authentic birth certificate.
