How long does a probation officer have to file a violation of probation?

Someone has been in jail for fifteen days now because they also violated home confinement, but PO still hasn't filed a violation of probation, so according to Probation and Parole offices, he is still on probation, but in jail at the same time.

There is no time frame. Your PO will file the violation when he or she is able. Why? Are you in a rush to be violated?

I agree but you have to realize the state doc considers Home Confinement a privilege and they take violations as an insult to their judgment about the probationer. Here in Vt your relative will probably be out soon thwe situation will most likely work like an offer to plead to the violation for the time in the jail and reinstatement. That is not absolute you all need to show some remorse for the violation and somehow assure the PO this is not a regular event. The caseload is too large to "baby along" repeaters.
