Do I need to submit my IRS tax return when applying for citizenship?

I have my green card almost 10 years and the last 5 years I didn't take any trip outside the United States that lasted 6 months or more. Do I still have to send evidence such as IRS tax return when applying for my citizenship?

No you don't need to 'send' copies of the returns, but you should have them with you at the interview. A TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPT (free from the IRS: www.irs.gov ) is available.

You can get an IRS transcript at any local IRS office. Please go to IRS.gov and look up office locations. Get there early or it could be a long day.
