I'm on 5 years misdemeanor probation. My dad hired an attorney for me. Would the attorney know of additional warrants?

I was initially charged with a felony, and that was reduced to a serious misdemeanor. The case was kept out of court for about 1 year. I live in a small, southern town. I keep hearing rumors that I'm "going to prison" and that I "have warrants." Like I wrote above, I'm on misdemeanor probation. I was sentenced to 3 years in prison, suspended to 5 years probation. I've been on probation for just a bit over 1 year, no problems. My Probation Officer hasn't said a word to me. She actually requested early discharge, based on good behavior, but the victim in the case shot that down, understandably. So, would a good defense attorney (in a different part of the state) be aware of warrants--state, federal, whatever--for a client on probation? This is the only offense on my record, btw.

The attorney would most likely not be aware of any other warrants unless someone contacted them but I doubt that in this case as the attorneys representation of you is most likely over as the case has been resolved. It is possible to find out if there are other warrants out there but you would need to know what county they are suppose to be in so a lawyer could research this for you. I think you need to consider the source of the "rumors" or ask for clarification of that person about their knowledge, sometimes people just want to mess with you b/c you are in a vulnerable position and they are taking advantage of that, as cruel as that sounds it does happen.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, does it make a sound? Who knows? Ask the attorney daddy hired for you.

It is likely that your actual probation officer would be aware of additional warrants you might have.
