I feel my case was rushed through and there was doctor notes that my lawyer knew was not correct they has not as now help me till get my pain meds which is part of the settlement and my lawyer the hold time kept telling me we will file for me to continue to get my workman comp check cause I want be able to go back to work then after the case closer she said this it and I didn't understand which she was not going over the paper I signed and I'm upset now the way they did me cause legal is the paper I was to sign in front of the person who is to stamp it was not there they both told me to sign it and the worker comp lawyer was going to take it back to his office so she can sign it and stamp it and the judge that sit in said I'm not listening so I won't to get up and walk out but I was scared
It might be worth a call to the Stip Unit at the State Board of Workers' Compensation to see if the stip (your settlement agreement) has been approved yet. The Board is running on manual, as the e-filing system is out of commission. If the agreement hasn't been approved, you can still back out. It may be a long shot, but would work if this is not yet approved.

Wow. That is a lot to digest. It sounds like you were at a mediation at the Board because a judge was present. It then seems that you signed a settlement agreement but didn't understand that you were ending your case. Assuming you voluntarily signed the agreement and were not under duress (like having a gun at your head or something) you are stuck with the agreement you made. I don't think you have any grounds to sue anyone.
I would agree with Mr. Whiteman. It sounds as though a Judge was there as a mediator to help you resolve your case. You will not be able to return to your original employer as you probably signed a letter of resignation as part of your settlement. I am sorry you are unhappy with your result but you will probably need to start looking for another job. Good luck.
