I went into bankruptcy 15 years ago. Can I be denied a government job because of that?
I have applied two times for a government job and I couldn't get into it because of my bankapcy.

I believe the section Ms. Bunce referenced is 11 USC 525a.

Bankruptcy law expressly prohibits discrimination in government employment due to bankruptcy. If you asked me during office hours I could have given you the citation for the law. Sorry. Hope this perspective helps.

It is unclear what level of government you are talking about. The federal government can look financed but a 15 year old bankruptcy woukd not do it unless there is something else.
