I severely cut my finger on a broken window while visiting a friend who lives in a pretty rundown rental property off campus. I was told I needed major surgery for lacerated tendons and nerves w/ tons of physical therapy. I had to take a leave of absence from school in NY and return home to MD-- forfeiting the entire fall 2014 semester. And I lost thousands of dollars in tuition, scholarship money, books, etc. I definitely need a personal injury attorney but for which state?
