My aylum application is pending in New york state and have been more than 180 days and I have applied for work permit. But I am not sure if I have to be employed in the state of New york or I can accept employment in any other state in US.

There are no geographical restrictions on you regarding your work permit. You do have to follow all USCIS instructions, and keep the government informed of any change of address. Don't commit any crimes and you should be OK!

You can work any place in the US. But, as my colleague correctly pointed out, you need to inform CIS and possibly the court, of any address changes you make.

Yes. However, if you are "reporting" to immigration and in immigration court, traveling to work may cause other issues.
