Will i receive points on my NYS cdl

Hi i am a NYS cdl holder. I recently got a speeding ticket doing 71 on 55 speed limit on a freeway i10 near banning,CA . The officer wrote me for an infraction rather than a misdemeanor. My question is since i am a NYS license holder will i get points on my license if i decide to just plead guilty and pay the fine or like i heard from few people that NYS license holders don't receive any points.
