How do I get an emergency hearing?

My ex has been ordered to pay PSS and child support and his attorney has filed a motion for new trial which won't be heard for over a month. I am unable to provide for my child now, is there any way to get an emergency hearing with the judge before our next court date?

If your ex did not pay under the current order, when payment was due, you could file a Motion and obtain an Order for Show Cause, which may or may not be heard prior to your next hearing. Consult with a family law attorney in your area for immediate guidance.

You can ask attorneys in your area if the court would consisder a lack of support an emergency. Many courts will not do so. You can file an action for contempt and hope it gets herad before the new heraing.
