Can I just pay my fix-it ticket fine without providing proof of correction?

I received a fix-it ticket for having blue lights on my rear license plate (the smallest lights on the exterior of the car... Way to go quota-chasing police), and have tried to have it signed off by local law enforcement, yet am always faced with more problems by police officers who want to write me more tickets for my windows and lack of a front license plate. My ticket is now due, and conveniently in a court out of my way, despite the fact that I received the ticket less than a mile away from my local courthouse.
Sounds like your car is a rolling vehicle code violation. This often results in far worse than a "fix it" ticket. I've seen many DUIs begin with equipment violations. I recommend that you bring your entire vehicle into compliance with the vehicle code. Get a front plate. Lighten the window tint. Make sure that muffler isn't too loud.
You can try to pay it, but the court may insist on correction. If you know things are wrong, you can be stopped every day by the "quote-chasing police."
Yes, you should try just paying it. Beware that the "quota chasing police," however, can then write you up every single day until you actually fix it. It might to smarter to fix everything on your car and just avoid the stress.
