I have been on Accelerated Rehabilitation for two years, I have complied fully with all conditions set forth by probation officer I was assigned to. She plans on filling out the back side of some form that says I've complied on Tuesday (3/24) in advance of my A.R. end date of 3/27. She has repeatedly told me that I would not have to attend court on 3/27, I have even called court clerk and they said the same. Got a letter from the Bail Commissioner saying I must be at court on 3/27 to answer charges pending against me or be charged with failure to appear. I have no other charges besides this one. Why have I received this letter, whats it mean?

If you were represented by an attorney get in contact immediately. If not call the Bail Commussioners Office and inquire. Do not argue or make any comments to the BC . Just listen and bi in court on 3/27. It may not be anything serious. Sometimes the info of the Court imposed conditions of granting you AR may not have gotten into the Stare's file. It happens . Good luck .

Your best bet is to come to court as asked. You can contact the bail commissioner for clarification. There has probably been some minor miscommunication somewhere. These can become a big deal, when someone doesn't show up and the court is expecting to see them. If you had an attorney, give him or her a call. If not, consider bringing one with you just to be on the safe side.

First, get in touch with your attorney, if you had one. Second, gather all your documents that you provided to your AR probation officer. Third, go to court with all your documents and make sure that the court enters a dismissal of your charges. Take the initiative to make sure people are doing their job correctly. If not, then you are the one that pays the consequences, not them. Lastly, if something is missing from the file and you do not appear, then the court will charge you with Failure to Appear (an additional crime).
