We live in MA. My friend was kicked out without notice of an apartment hes been living in and paying rent in for at least 6 months. Im sure legally they cannot just kick him out but i dont know what he should do.

Did the landlord physically remove your friend? Was the sheriff or police involved? Can you give more details please?

It is illegal to evict a tenant without going through the proper eviction process. Only a court can evict a tenant. If this is what occurred, your friend should gather his paperwork and make an appointment with an attorney.

If by "kicked out" you mean "locked out," he should contact an attorney. That's entirely illegal.
