Does my head of family exemption expire?

I stopped a wage garnishment with a head of family exemption. How long does it last? Everything in my bank account is only wages from my job. I heard something about six months.

I've never heard a time limit on exemptions until there is a change of circumstances and the plaintiff brings evidence that they believe your exemption has ended.

No time restrictions as far as I am aware. An issue may arise if you dont bring your exemption to the court in a timely manner. Its a good idea not to comingle the monies monies in your bank account that are traceable to wage with other monies that may not be exempt.

It lasts as long as you are qualified for the exemption. Once thats gone you are fair game for garnishment barring other protections or exemptions.
