Speak with a couple of medical malpractice attorneys. Initial consultations are generally free and your case, if pursued, would be taken on a contingency basis (e.g., no recovery = no attorneys fees).
No one can give you a good answer without reviewing your medical records, doing further investigation, and speaking with you further. These cases have been made extremely difficult by our legislature and in many cases cost prohibitive. Even cases were liability is clear may not warrant an attorney putting $50 or $100k out up front. If one attorney says no do not be discouraged. If two or three do then you might take that as a sign of the viability of your case.
Use 's Find a Lawyer tool or if you like an answer you receive here contact that attorney outside this forum. Good luck!
I'm sorry. Your summary cut off right where you were about to say to believed cause of your son's lung damage. You may have a medical malpractice case. I would have to investigate it more deeply before I could comment any further.
Seek the advice of a medical malpractice attorney. The statute of limitations is 2 years, but there are some legal arguments that can extend this longer. Medical malpractice tends to be a very fact intensive case concerning whether the doctor breached a standard of care, which requires extensive review of the medical records, and the amount of damages that can be linked to that breach. you should certainly seek a medical malpractice attorneys advice.
