I can help you find someone . Is it important that the person be located near where you live or can it be in the Greater Hartford, New Haven or Danbury area ?

By either using 's own "find a lawyer" tool located at the top of this page, and/or by searching for a Brazilian-Portugese (there is a difference) speaking immig. lawyer at www.ailalawyer.com - don't forget to enter the state/town desired, as well as the language requirement in both instances.

Start by calling the Bar Association in your are. Also look at the Portuguese newspapers. Usually Portuguese attorneys advertise there. Boa Sorte

As the immigration lawyer for a Brazilian charity (too far away to help you!!) I can tell you that not speaking Portuguese is fine. You want a referral to a good lawyer and go visit with your husband - and if you don't speak P so well yourself, bring along a friend who can interpret. Immigration lawyers are used to helping people from all over the globe. Stay safe.

I speak Portuguese as does my immigration assistant. We are located in West Hartford, Connecticut, and have helped many Brazilians with their immigration cases. Please call 860.236.9350 to schedule an appointment.
