Given the nature of your injuries and what the likely permanent disability will be I would urge you to contact an attorney that handles workers compensation and allow then to assist you, since the insurance company will not be looking out for your best interest. You use the find a lawyer section here or go to CAAA.org to locate one. Brett Borah is in your area and one of the best if you need someone to talk to about your claim.

Each DISABILITY gets it's own rating. We don't rate injuries....we rate disabilities. We don't rate surgeries or tilme off work.....disabilities. It's important to get the right QME and to ask him the right questions.

You get one rating for each date of injury, it doesn't matter how many body parts were injured for that date. With your injuries and the complexity for even doctors to rate now, it is important you at least consult with an attorney to make sure the ratings are accurate and you don't get short changed. Good Luck!

The disability for each body part is rated. Then the rated body parts are combined to form the overall percentage of permanent disability. As Mr. Borah mentioned, getting the right QME is important. Better yet get a workers' compensation attorney and get an AME-agreed medical examiner. If you have an attorney, your attorney and the insurance company can agree on a mutually acceptable doc.

The Warriors are losing, so I am taking a break. I agree with Bret.
