Want to remove my name from timeshare after divorce

Real Estate 5 views 2 answers
My ex and I received a deeded timeshare from his parents years ago. They put it in both our names. We haven't used the timeshare in 8+ years and I am not in possession of the deed. We have been divorced almost 2 years. Can I remove my name from this timeshare and if so, how?

If you on the timeshare free and clear, then you should be able to do a deed from both of you today just her. You have to check if there are any requirements of the timeshare itself in terms of fees transfer ownership.

This is very simple....deed the property to your ex. If you do NOT have a copy of the deed it can be secured from the timeshare or a title company. The fee to remove you from the timeshare by having a deed drafted and recorded should not be exorbitant. For more information on this subject go to www.timesharelegalaction.com
