You will need to contact the Orange County Sheriff's civil process division. Here is a link: http://www.ocso.com/AdministrativeServices/CourtServicesandCommunicationsDivision/JudicialProcessSection/tabid/107/Default.aspx Please let me know if this was helpful by hitting the helpful button. Good luck.

Most lawyers use private process servers because they usually get the job done quicker than the Sheriff. The cost is usually about $60 for simple service. If there is a rush or process server needs to go to multiple address, the cost is more.

A private process server will likely work best for you. There costs/charges usually depend on how quick and/or how many times they need to attempt to serve before being successful. To improve the changes of being successful on their first attempt, they to provide the process server (in writing) with as much information as possible, such as: 1. physical description of wife/respondent 2. make, model, color and year of vehicle driven by wife/respondent 3. wife/respondent's residential address and times she is most likely to be home, etc. Make sure you have a summons issued by the clerk and copies of ALL of the documents (including administrative/standing orders) that you would like served simultaneously with your petition.
