Can a name be removed from a deed if one of the owners has a conservator?

Grandparent's have four children. They bought four homes and each home holds title in their name along with the child who is to inherit the home. Grandfather has since passed. Grandmother now resides in an assisted living facility. Uncle (one of the children) is grandmother's conservator. One house was sold (the one that was originally intended to be for my other uncle...his is in an assisted living and has no need for a home). Proceeds were divided between the children and my grandmother (main reason was to pay for my grandmother's care.) My mother is having open heart surgery soon. She would like to have her name and my grandparent's name removed from home and put in my name. She's afraid that family members will try to claim home should something happen to her. Living in home 40 years.

You have raised several issues with your question. I think you are better served by and estate/will/trusts attorney. Good Luck

Generally a name cannot be removed with out the person's signature unless the court had ordered it. There are many issues being raised and an attorney would help you sort through them
