Do I have any legal rights?

In the year 2013 I rented a TV from rent a center and told my boyfriend at that time that it was for him. As of lately I resigned from my job to complete school. Now that I can no longer pay for the account I asked him to pay till I become situated again. At first he agreed but now he refuses. So I am trying to revoke the TV from his custody but he refuses to give it up. Is there anything I can do?

You should send him a letter, by certified mail with an additional copy by first class mail with a certificate of mailing. In the letter you should state to your ex that he must return the television to you by a certain day and that if he does not do so you will sue him for the cost that you must pay Rent-a-Center if you cannot return the television. If he does not return the television you should proceed to sue him for the replacement cost in your local small claims court.
