Authorizations for child's insurance

Hi, so per court order my sons dad provides my sons insurance. Since my sons dad is not in his life at all ( his choice) I am 100% the one who he is with so I take care of all doctors etc. Since I'm not on his policy I can't ever ask any questions for instance. Example it just took me 5 months to fix a glitch stating he didn't have eye ins through blue cross when he did. No one will talk to me at the ins comp. ( which I understand) but it is so frustrating when my son can't get what he needs bc his dad doesn't look into stuff and I cant. My son now needs to talk to a psychologist ... I'd like to know who He can go to and what's covered... He tells me to call and ask the doctors. He won't even send me a book to tell me what's included. Is there anything that can be done? Thank
You
As the custodial parent, you are entitled to all insurance cards for the benefit of your child and you are also entitled to speak to your child's health care providers. If you are being refused, speak to a lawyer about clarification and the possible need to return to court for a court order if there is not yet one in place.
do a qualified medical child support order. notice it up in court for the judge to sign. send notice to the dad. send a certified copy of the order to the ins co. it must then talk with you.
I agree with the other answers. You should be able to deal with the insurance company. For your children. When you go to court you should ask for whatever manuals or other information is provided to your ex in relation to the insurance coverage, doctors, etc. and any updates to be provided ongoingly.
