For an Interrogatory, is the Plaintiff required to give evidence to the other parties attorney, if requested?

If I have photos, documents, and videos, do I have to send copies to the defendants attorney? I will be using them in small claims court and I do not want to fork over my personal belongings. Can I object to all requests? What will happen?

In response to an interrogatory request, you provide no documents. However, in response to production requests, you may have to. You should invest in O'Connors Civil Rules and in their form book for proper objections. Good part is if you lose, you can appeal and have a new trial. Google O'Connor Texas Rules. Good luck.

Interrogatories do not require production of documents, however a request for production does. If they have requested photos, videos etc. in a request for production you can make copies of said documents / items and produce them, or you can tell the other side what you have and say they are available for inspection and copying at a mutually agreeable time and place. You can also reach some sort of agreement for copying said items at their cost. Also you might have valid objections to said request which would prevent the production but there is no way to answer that without seeing the discovery. You might want to visit with a lawyer about your situation. Good Luck.
