Can my landlord take pictures of me/film me without my consent? If he did on his phone, what can I do about it?

I am about to move out of the house I'm currently renting. Upon giving notice, my landlord (who I was in a relationship with and broke it off) keeps on coming into my bed in the morning as he has keys and access to the garage I'm living in now. Affter a week of giving notice, my landlord starts taking his things out of the garage belonging to him and threatening to call the police on me if I was to touch his belongings (which I never have done or will do). He started coming in as I am waking up in my pajamas and taking videos and pictures that has me in it. When I asked him to stop, he took more pictures of me. I feel violated and not sure what I can do until I move out.

Hire local counsel on contingency or seek help from a local non profit that works on women's issues such as legal aid in your area. You have many legal recourses to stop this harassment and perhaps recover damages for it. Plus, you may be living in an unlawful unit (an un-permitted garage cannot be a rental unit) which means that your landlord is liable to you for back rent and perhaps more under local rent control ordinances. So you have a lot to consider and should consult an attorney right away. 1. Get a restraining order. Go to your local courthouse and they will walk you through it if you do not have an attorney yet. 2. Consult local tenant's rights counsel to investigate whether the landlord is renting the garage lawfully and whether you are entitled to back rent or other damages. 3. Consider a civil suit. Unfortunately, in this digital age images can be posted everywhere and you should consider suing not only to recover damages for the harassment but to recover the images he took to make sure he is not posting them anywhere. You are in a horrible situation but you can get out of it with legal help. Get a consultation right away.
