If I travel for years in a row, do I have to report every single country I visit to the Social Security Administration?

I have SSDI and plan to travel the world. If I'm passing through several countries per month, e.g. in the Schengen zone, it would seem excessive to expect me to document and report all of that to the SSA.

With a few exceptions your SSDI payments can be paid to whatever country you reside. Here is a helpful link http://www.ssa.gov/international/payments.html

I recommend that you write a letter to your local Social Security Field Office. List the countries you plan on going to and the date you expect to leave. Good luck.

As long as you have SSDI rather than SSI there are very few restrictions on travel. Certain countries such as Cuba (likely to be removed from the list soon) North Korea and the like are off limits.
