I was arrested on a possession charge and am not saying i was innocent but the arresting officer than intently and maliciously went out of his way to tell my employer all that happened and that if he owned the business he would fire me cause he wouldn't want the word on the business that they have drug addicts working there. I could see if my boss went to them or read in paper and fired me no problem is private company they have that right but for him to go out of his way to soil my name is gotta be some kind of action I can take... Plus has prevented me from further employment.
You could report the officer to internal affairs if u feel the ofgicer sinled u out for some personal reason. Also in your pending criminal case u can do a pitchess motion....
Arrests are not confidential,and the officer's conduct was not unlawful. Possibly it was in violation of a rule or regulation of a specific police agency, but not a policy that is universal among law enforcement.
