Your question does not make much sense without additional information. Very few family attorneys take fees on contingency. They might take it to be paid later, but contingency means that they get paid if they win. You may need to explore getting credit in order to bring in an attorney to at least initially assist you and get court permission to possibly sell a property to obtain the money necessary for attorney's fees. Good luck.

I agree with Attorney de Lara, you need to get in to see an attorney if for no other reason to have a consultation so they can review what you are talking about and possibly come up with a way for you to retain an attorney. You are at a severe disadvantage not to have an attorney. If you have to beg or borrow from you family you need to retain an attorney. I don't know what else you have to lose but you have 4 properties and that is enough to be concerned enough to hire an attorney. Most attorney offer a free initial consultation. Call one of us today. Good luck. Sincerely, B. Elaine Jones, Esq.

Family law cases cannot ethically be taken on a contingency basis. If they have your assets frozen, file a motion asking the judge to allow you sufficient funds to hire counsel.

I doubt your spouse hired a divorce lawyer in Florida on a contingency fee basis because that would not be permitted under the rules of the Florida Bar and the lawyer would face severe punishment. I suppose you are suggesting your wife has filed a lis pendens on marital property, which is probably the right thing to do if there is a question of how it will be disposed of by the family law court. If you have four properties at stake and don't have a lawyer, you're not really thinking big picture here, sir. If I were you, I would take whatever measures necessary to protect myself and get a lawyer. I won't tell you the old saying about a person who represents himself in court, but maybe you ought to look it up. Google "he who represents himself in court..." and see what you come up with.
